Who we are
ARDC LLC ("CompassOS", "we", "us") runs the waitlist website at getcompassos.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you join the waitlist, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It takes effect on September 28, 2026.
The CompassOS application at app.getcompassos.com is covered by its own privacy policy.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect your email address, the date and time you signed up, and a label showing which form on the site you used. That is everything you give us.
Our hosting provider also records standard server logs for each visit, including your IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and secure. We do not use these logs to profile or track you.
How we use your information
We use your email address to send you CompassOS launch news and updates about getting access. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
Legal basis for visitors in the EU and UK
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your email address because you consented by submitting the waitlist form. You can withdraw consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to hello@getcompassos.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
We process server log data on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers that help us run the waitlist:
- Customer.io stores your email address and sends our emails.
- Vercel hosts the website and keeps the server logs described above.
These providers may use your information only to provide their services to us. We do not sell it or share it for advertising. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Where your information is processed
CompassOS and our providers may process your information in the United States, where Customer.io stores our waitlist data. For visitors in the EEA or UK, that means a transfer outside your region. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses in our providers' data processing terms. You can ask us for details at hello@getcompassos.com.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and we delete it within 30 days of a request. Our hosting provider keeps server logs for a short period under its own retention settings.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Write to hello@getcompassos.com from the address you signed up with and we will respond within 30 days. You can also unsubscribe at any time with the link in our emails.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to withdraw consent, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request that we delete or correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
Residents of other places with privacy laws can use the same address to exercise their rights.
Cookies and tracking
The waitlist site does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising pixels or other tracking tools, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will update this policy before adding any.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, write to hello@getcompassos.com and we will delete the entry.
Security and changes to this policy
Access to the waitlist is limited to the people and providers who run it, and the form sends your email over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We will post changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date. For material changes we will also email the waitlist.
